History
Leiman Custom Homes & Renovations is based in Cranbrook, B.C. Founder Peter Leiman had decades of construction experience under his belt before starting the company in 2004. His sons, Kevin and Krister, have been involved in construction since their youth. Some of their earliest projects included the Inn of the South (now known as the Heritage Inn) and Sunshine Meadows, which was the first apartment complex in Cranbrook with underground parking.
Over the years, Peter earned a reputation for quality and honesty. Evolving to meet the needs of the community, Leiman Custom Homes & Renovations has become known as the area’s top custom home builder. Today, our work takes us throughout the East Kootenay, from Cranbrook and Moyie to Kimberley, Fernie and Fairmont Hot Springs.
Our Approach
We believe the customer should know and deal directly with the people who are doing the building. We are a very hands-on company and it shows in the quality of our workmanship. All work is done by our team and supervised by Kevin and Krister. We are proud of what we do, and you will be too.

Our Team
Peter Leiman, Founder, Owner
Born and raised in Cranbrook, Peter is a commercial and custom home builder with over four decades of experience. Before getting into the field in the 1970s, Peter attended Michigan Tech on a hockey scholarship. He played hockey for several years before the Kootenays drew him back to Cranbrook. He built several apartments and commercial buildings in Cranbrook. Upon realizing there were few home builders in the area dedicated to high-quality homes, Peter founded Leiman Custom Homes & Renovations.
The team continue to draw upon Peter’s experience as a carpenter and project manager, along with his keen understanding of client and community needs.
